A Better Understanding of Blood Moon's and what they signify.
In the book of Joel, God says there will be "wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire…the sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord."
In Acts, the Apostle Peter repeats that verse from Joel. And the book of Revelation says that during the Great Tribulation, "the moon will become like blood."
Blood moons have already appeared in April 2014, on Passover, and then again in October 2014 during the Feast of Tabernacles, or Sukkot. (That’s two of the Four)
For those of you who are unfamiliar with (Sukkot) here is a little insight for you.
Sukkot is known as The Feast of Tabernacles and The Feast of the Ingathering (Coming together). Sukkot or The Feast of Tabernacles is the culmination of all seven feasts. It is the feast of all feasts and it speaks prophetically of the Millennium reign of The Messiah (Jesus Christ). It points to the end of days when the Kingdom of God will reach its fulfillment. All of the feasts paint a picture of the history of God with His people.
Each feast tells the story of a loving God desiring a family, how sin has spoiled God’s ultimate provision for His family, how God Himself stepped into history (which of course is His-story) and reconciled His family back to Himself through Jesus, and finally how the Lord will present His family with a New Heaven and a New Earth where evil is vanished and Love is supreme. (Amen)
As I stated earlier in my article, two of the four “Blood Moons” have already appeared, one in April 2014, on Passover; and the other, in October 2014 during the Feast of Tabernacles or Sukkot.
The Third “Blood Moon”
Now is the year 2015, the next “Blood Moon” is scheduled to take place on April 4, 2015. What Jewish holiday takes place on this date?
“Pesach” (Passover).
Pesach or Passover commemorates the story of Exodus, in which the ancient Israelites were freed from slavery in Egypt. Passover begins on the 15th day of the month of Nisan on the Jewish calendar, which is spring time in the Northern Hemisphere, and is celebrated for seven or eight days. It is one of the most widely observed Jewish holidays.
In short the definition of Passover;
Was the deliverance of Israelites from the worst plague of Egypt and the annual festival was kept afterward, in memory of the event. Through Moses, God told the Israelites to prepare a special meal to be eaten in haste the evening before their escape from Egypt, with a whole roasted lamb as the main dish. The blood from the lamb was to be used to mark the Israelites' houses.
That night, God would send the angel of Death to kill the firstborn males of the Egyptians (this was the worst of the plagues of Egypt), but God would see the blood on the Israelites' houses, and He would command His angel to “passover” and to kill no one there.
God told Moses that the Israelites were to repeat the meal each spring on the anniversary of their departure from Egypt. The Jewish people keep the festival of Passover to this day.
A major event is about to unfold. It's time to pay attention; it's time to get real about your relationship with Christ. How do we know this?
According to the Bible in the following chapters and verses, we see how God directs us to His message or signs within the skies above.
Genesis 1: 1
in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.....
Psalm 104: 19
He made the moon and marked the season's......
Luke 21: 25
there will be signs in the sun moon and stars.....
Mathew 24: 29
......the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light;
Acts 2: 20
the sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious Lord.
God clearly tells us how He will provide signs for us within the heavens above. We need to be vigilant and pay attention to these events as they take place. These are the signs of the seasons, but not, the seasons of fall, winter, spring, or summer, as you might think.
This final drama of history (His-story) is played out in the seven plus one days of the Feast of Tabernacles that was to begin on the fifteenth day of the seventh month on the biblical calendar, which is the 15th of Tishrei. This date changes on our Gregorian calendar every year; but is celebrated in late September or early October. This most joyous of all feasts follows the most sober of feasts. The Holy days that precede the Feast of Tabernacles is a clear call for people to repent; before it is too late and the gates are closed and judgment falls.
The “Fourth Blood Moon”
This “Blood Moon” will take place on; September, 28 2015, “What Jewish holiday falls on this date? “Feast of Tabernacles”
As Christians we celebrate the “feast of tabernacles” also known as the “feast of ingathering” because we anticipate our Lord’s return to this earth in His second coming.
We celebrate as we wait in anticipation of that glorious day when Jesus will return to further establish His Kingdom here on the earth where He and His Bride will rule and reign for 1,000 years.
Just as the spring feasts were established by God the Father to paint us a picture of Jesus His Son; so have the fall feasts been likewise established. For it’s all about Jesus. From Genesis to Revelation it’s all about Jesus and how He and only He has restored us to the Father; and the feasts are the dramatization of that redemption story. (Amen) (His-Story) (Amen) (Our Salvation) (Amen)
Amen Praise the Lord
